Hi, I'm Sharayah Sheldon 4uidzne

Sharayah Sheldon's Bio:

"Sharayah Sheldon" Drawing my inspiration from nature, a life event or from simply holding a bead in her hand and visualizing what it could become I create one-of-a-kind wearable art/ body adornments.Using turquoise, copper, crystal, pearl and other eclectic findings, each beaded necklace, bracelet, barrette and purse begins with a single object as the focal. I visualize the beading space as my canvas, needle as the paint brush and beads as my palette.   Sharayah Sheldon of 4UIDZNE continues to expand her skills and repertoire of materials.  Shibori silk ribbon and incorporating  lampwork beads  into her designs enrich the textures,  enhance  Sharayah's unique designs and expand her creative options. Although Sharayah has always been involved in some form of art, the path that has led to the present has be one of many twits and turns. Originally involved with performance art on the clarinet, she received a music scholarship to college. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in special education, she taught for 12 years and then served as a counselor for 18 years. Durin full- time employment,  Sharayah Sheldon went on to get a master’s degree in educational psychology and a doctorate in Philosophy/Comparative Religions. Wh hired in Milwaukee Public Schools, she thought she had a job for life.As Sharayah Sheldon states it; " in 2005, a twist of fate changed my direction for life. The last thing I remember was seeing the car coming at me” which resulted in a moped accident that left me with a severe neurological injury that eventually forced me to resign. It was an adjustment and was something I didn’t want to do, but it was a necessity.Primarily self-taught,Sharayah Sheldon studied with several renown artists including Sherry Serafini, Marcia DeCoster, & Carol Cypher and taken classes in developing her skills. Originally starting with floral designs ove ago, she exhibited at juried art shows. After having a bone graft surgery from her knee to the ankle in 2000, she transitioned into beading. Every time there was an injury/medical condition, it was time to expand  skills and turn adversity into productivity. Not only is each piece unique with its own story to tell, but it is also multi-colored and faceted.Sharaks at her  life as a tapestry. You need the dark colors to bring out the bright.Sharayah Sheldon currently lives in Oconomowoc, Wi; otherwise known as the Lake Country Area.JESUS IS MY LIFE & PASSION. HE is all the peace I need.
